Welcome to the Friends of the Connecticut Wilderness School Blog!

Welcome to the very first blog post of the Friends of the Connecticut Wilderness School initiative! We’re so excited to kick off this space for connection, creativity, and collaboration within the Wilderness School family. This blog is about building community, a place where all of us—alumni, current members, and friends—can come together to share stories, ideas, and reflections.

The Wilderness School has given so much to all of us, and now we have the opportunity to give back in meaningful ways. Whether you want to share your memories, contribute your skills, or simply reconnect with others, this blog is for you. Here are a few ways to get involved:

  • Share Your Thoughts: Tell us how the Wilderness School has impacted your life or reflect on what you’re grateful for as 2024 comes to a close.

  • Join the Conversation: We want to involve people from every chapter of the school. Have ideas, stories, or suggestions? We’d love to hear them.

  • Stay Positive: This blog is all about fostering a welcoming and uplifting environment. Gossip, negativity, or inappropriate content won’t be allowed—this is a space for building each other up!

We’re also excited to announce our initial Board of Directors. This small but dedicated group includes Wilderness School elders, friends, and the current school director. By keeping the board small at first, we hope to remain agile as we get started. Over time as we grow, the board will expand to include a broader range of voices.

We’re thrilled to embark on this journey together. Let’s make this blog a place where the Wilderness School spirit shines bright—now and for years to come!
